First Aid Explorers: Childcare First Aid Incursions

Children learn real first aid awareness by doing. Through hands-on, age-appropriate activities they practise spotting danger, getting an adult, calling for help and caring for a friend, all through play.

Invite Rachel Smith to your service for a Discovery Day, or get the digital resource pack and run the activities yourselves.

What a First Aid Explorers session looks like

Real mats, real manikins, real bandages. Children get their hands on the equipment and practise for themselves.

Scout cheers every explorer on, from the first danger-spotting game to the last bandage.

A certificate to celebrate

Children who join Rachel's Discovery Day go home with their own First Aid Explorers certificate. It's a proud moment to share with families. It celebrates taking part and is not an accredited first aid qualification.

Learning and curriculum connections

First Aid Explorers includes supporting connections to EYLF, NQS and ACARA learning contexts. Activities can support conversations about wellbeing, safety, communication, cooperation and seeking help.

These are learning connections for educators to adapt, not a guarantee of curriculum or regulatory compliance.
