Refund and Cancellation Policy
Last updated: 23 September 2026
This policy explains how we handle refunds, cancellations and rescheduling across what we offer. It forms part of our Terms and Conditions. Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law always apply in addition to this policy.
The Educators Well is operated by Rachel Smith, ABN 59 334 787 286, trading as The Educators Well.
Talk to us first
If something has gone wrong, if you cannot access what you purchased, or if your circumstances have changed, please contact us at hello@educatorswell.com.au and tell us what has happened. We would much rather look at your situation with you than have you left with something that is not working for you.
Please include the name you purchased under, what you purchased and the date, so we can find your record quickly.
Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law
Our goods and services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. If something we supply is faulty, is not as described, is not fit for its stated purpose or is not supplied with due care and skill, you are entitled to a remedy.
Depending on how serious the problem is, that remedy may be a repair, a replacement, a resupply, a cancellation or a refund. Nothing in this policy excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy available under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted or modified.
More information is available from the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission at accc.gov.au.
The WELL Framework
The WELL Framework is a digital professional learning programme, and access begins as soon as your enrolment is confirmed.
If you cannot access the programme, if part of it is not working, or if what you received is not what was described, contact us and we will put it right. That may include restoring or extending access, resupplying the affected part of the programme, or a refund where that is the appropriate remedy.
If you would like to request a cancellation or refund for another reason, please contact us with your circumstances and we will review the request. In doing so we consider how much of the programme has been accessed, how long ago the purchase was made, the reason for the request, and any rights or remedies available under the Australian Consumer Law.
Change-of-mind requests
We do not offer a general automatic change-of-mind period. If you ask to cancel or seek a refund because you have changed your mind, we will consider the circumstances of the purchase, what has already been supplied or accessed, this policy and our obligations under the Australian Consumer Law.
This does not exclude, restrict or modify any statutory consumer right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted or modified.
Payment plans
Our Refund Policy applies to purchases made through a payment plan as well as purchases paid in full.
If a refund or cancellation of remaining instalments is approved by The Educators Well, or is required under Australian Consumer Law, we will stop future instalments where applicable and process any refund or other remedy that applies in the circumstances.
The amount of any refund will depend on the circumstances, including amounts already paid, any services or access already supplied, the reason for the refund request and any rights or remedies available under Australian Consumer Law.
Where a Framework enrolment is validly cancelled or refunded, access to The WELL Framework and any included Educator Membership may end as part of that cancellation or refund, except where continued access or another remedy is required by law or agreed by The Educators Well.
Stopping, disputing, reversing or failing to make an individual payment does not by itself cancel a payment plan. If you are experiencing difficulty making a payment or believe you are entitled to cancel or receive a refund, please contact The Educators Well so the matter can be reviewed.
Nothing in this Refund Policy excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy available under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted or modified.
Memberships
Membership gives you access to the inclusions described at the time you join, for the membership period you purchased.
Where a membership renews, the renewal arrangements and how to stop a renewal are shown on the membership page and in your account. Stopping a renewal prevents the next membership period from starting, and is separate from a Framework payment plan.
If a membership was charged in error, duplicated, or you cannot access what your membership includes, contact us and we will correct it, including refunding a charge made in error.
Individual member benefits are provided by third-party businesses. Refunds for anything you purchase from a partner business are handled by that business under its own policy.
Digital resources and downloads
Because digital resources are available immediately and can be kept, we are generally not able to offer a change-of-mind refund once a resource has been downloaded or accessed.
This does not affect your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. If a resource is faulty, will not open, is incomplete or is not as described, contact us and we will resupply it or provide a refund where that is the appropriate remedy.
Webinars and online learning
If you cannot attend a live webinar, please let us know. Where a recording or an alternative session is available, we will usually provide access to it.
If a session does not go ahead, is significantly changed, or you are unable to access it because of a problem on our side, you may choose a place at the rescheduled or equivalent session, or a refund.
Bookings and events
If you need to reschedule or cancel a booking or an event place, contact us as early as you can so we can look at the options with you, including moving you to another date where one is available.
Where a booking or event involves a specific date, a limited number of places, or costs we commit to in advance, the arrangements that apply to that booking are shown at the time you book.
First Aid 2 U training
Nationally recognised training offered through First Aid 2 U is delivered through our training partnership with Allens Training Pty Ltd RTO 90909.
Where enrolment is completed through an external training provider or platform, any provider-specific enrolment, cancellation or refund terms shown during enrolment also apply. Those terms do not exclude, restrict or modify any rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.
Other First Aid 2 U products, resources, online learning or services may be offered directly by The Educators Well or through another provider. The relevant page identifies the provider and arrangements that apply.
Where you book training directly with The Educators Well, including in-house or team training, the arrangements for rescheduling and cancellation are confirmed with you in writing before the training is booked in.
If you are unsure who you enrolled with, contact us and we will help you work it out.
If we cancel, reschedule or cannot deliver
If we cancel a session, event or training, or cannot deliver what you purchased, you may choose a place at the rescheduled or equivalent offering, a credit, or a full refund of the amount paid for what was not delivered.
If we need to change a date, time or format, we will let you know as soon as we can and explain your options. If the change does not suit you, you can ask for a refund of the amount paid for that session.
Where an event is disrupted by something outside our reasonable control, we will still work with you to reschedule, credit or refund your place fairly.
How refunds are paid
Approved refunds are paid back to the original payment method through our payment provider. The time it takes to appear depends on your bank or card provider.
Where a refund relates to a purchase that included access to a programme, resource or membership, that access may end as part of the refund, unless we agree otherwise or the law requires otherwise.
