What you'll need

  • A safe treasure object
  • Picture clues
  • Everyday furniture or outdoor landmarks

Preparation

  1. Create clues using words such as under, over, beside, between, behind and in front.

What to do

  1. Introduce two positional words.
  2. Follow a clue together.
  3. Children take turns following clues.
  4. Invite children to create a clue for someone else.

Safety considerations

Check the route for trip hazards and keep climbing within normal safe play expectations.
